Last night was a full moon, which might explain some of the chaos news-wise that happened around the city all evening.

And it might explain why I felt a little over-adventurous.

I worked a 16 hour day yesterday, spurred on partially by my over-enthusiasm from this past weekend and the roller-coaster lifestyle that photographers seem to thrive so greatly in.

So naturally, when I got home just after the stroke of midnight, instead of unwinding from the day I grabbed my camera and ran down to the Lifeguard Station.

Nevermind the fact that I will have plenty of chances to capture the moon rise over the next 11 months. When I get an idea in my head, I just can’t let it go.

Who needs sleep anyways?

I wonder how my parents actually dealt with me growing up. I can only hope if I have children one day in the future they won’t be as stubborn as myself.

I have a feeling I’m going to start paying close attention to the lunar calendar and map out perfect times to grab my shot.  Unfortunately for me, the moon was very high in the sky, but it still gave me something different to play with.

All of this aside, I need to send a special birthday message to a good friend, coworker, and one of the first supporters of the Leuty Project. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA.  Thank you for supporting me through this crazy idea, you are the best.
